Angel

I was standing in the front line of my boyfriend's body quivering from the scene; I went inside the market to buy some beer to spend the night in his house because his parents left for a business trip, and my mother was on a date with someone. She was kind of busy with him. I haven't met him yet. And I didn t care much about her boyfriends.

Because I was sort of perturbed, maybe jealous, after my father left us when I was 4 years old, I just hung up with my mother. So she was my precious diamond. I hate when anyone comes into her life.

Out of blue, I overheard gunshots… I scurried to Frank to see what happened; I assumed it was a tire explosion or something. But no, Frank was murdered by a gun, an actual bullet in his chest and blood everywhere around him. I stood in my place and everybody around me started to shout, calling the police and ambulance.

But it wasn't the first time for me to see this scene. For a full 2 years starting from my second year of high school up to my high school graduation, this happened three times and that was number four. Maybe that's why now I was more panicked and speechless, my tongue was twisted. My heart beat raced up.

I came back to reality when I heard my mother's voice. Time flew by so fast, I couldn't estimate how many minutes or hours had passed in this scene.

"Angelllllllllllllll," My mother Christina bawled out my name. She rushed towards me and hugged me tightly, kissing every inch of my face and her tears rolled down on her cheeks worriedly. I don't know how she figured it out? Who called her? When did she come?!

I cleared my throat and rolled my eyes trying to self-control myself to say anything. But I couldn't.

A police officer hastened towards me "Angel, we need to take your report about this murder."

I rolled my eyes nervously then nodded with a stutter " S_sure."

My mother shouted giving the police officer a deadliest glare "Can't you see how she looks so afraid! Leave her alone!"

I stopped her "Mother, I'm fine, don't worry… this is normal."

The police officer blurted out in a firm tone "Actually this is not normal Miss Angel, I do have information and am suspicious about you because this is not the first time. So you should call a lawyer."

I gasped and blinked shockingly "B_but I was away! Inside, you may ask the witnesses!" I stammered.

The police officer ignored me and gazed at my mother "You should start making calls madame, this is a severe situation."

And the police officer dragged me to the car, shoved my head inside, and in a few minutes I was handcuffed like criminals in a cell, awaiting them to start investigating and taking my testimony.

But a very handsome gentleman with immense blue eyes and a scary fierce look stomped with tremendous pace, slammed the desk of the sheriff and shouted: "Get her out of the cell now!"

I glared at him. ``Sure he is not talking about me! Because I have never seen him.' I whispered in my mind. Watching the man's expression.

Suddenly the sheriff stood up and headed down trembled "But sir, this is murder!"

The handsome man yelled "I'M TIGER VALENTINO THE governor of this district, I'M TELLING YOU, RELEASE Angel NOW! SHE IS MY STEPDAUGHTER."

'WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTT! HE IS MY NEW STEPFATHER?!'
